Como 1907 signs Alberto Moreno
Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of Alberto Moreno until June 2025 with automatic renewal for another season if certain conditions are met.
Defender, 32 years old, he boasts great experience on the European stage. He grew up in the ranks of Sevilla, a team with which he won the Europa League in 2014, playing as a starter. He then moved on to Liverpool, where in 5 seasons he collected 90 appearances and 3 goals, culminating with the Reds winning the Champions League in 2019. In the last 5 seasons he played for Villareal, winning another Europa League trophy in 2021 against Manchester United in which he scored one of the decisive penalties securing the final victory.
On Moreno’s characteristics, Como 1907 coach Cesc Fabregas said: “Alberto is a fast, agile and technically gifted defender with great international experience, having played in top European competitions. His characteristics will certainly be useful to face a new and difficult championship and we are happy to welcome him”.
On signing Alberto Moreno said: “I am very happy to be able to add a new experience to my career. I arrive in a new league, and I will have to deal with a new team and a new language. I spoke with Fabregas and he was the first to show how much the club wanted me and the feeling was immediately great.
